We have a mixture of Aberdeen Angus, Simmental and Shorthorn cattle.
The Aberdeen Angus are renowned for the meat they produce along with their versatility and sustainability.
The Simmental has been described as the 'no nonsense' breed as they are easy to look after, efficient and flexible.
The Shorthorn are a docile and hardy breed with good fertility and ease of calving.
As with our cattle we have a mixture of breeds;
Texel - a popular breed that excels in low land pasture. They produce fast growing lambs offering a high yield.
North of England Mule - a cross breed sheep who's sire is a Bluefaced Leicester and dam is either a Swaledale or Northumberland type Black face. They are a self sufficient breed making for relatively easy shepherding.
We enjoy a strong, positive relationship with the local community including schools, pubs and restaurants. The Lion, Waddesdon offers an excellent menu, including our lamb, alongside their outstanding hospitality and accommodation.
